I was first able to join Limb Kind on a trip to Davao City, Philippines. In preparation for this trip I was introduced to the rest of the US team. I appreciated the diversity of the individuals on the team, and that Limb Kind was making a significant effort to maximize connections with the patients and families as well as being able to tell various aspects of the story. This eclectic group of individuals visited the patients and their families as well as the rehabilitation staff with the goal of improving individual quality of life, as well providing a resource for sustainability related to prosthetic intervention. I enjoyed being a part of a team that had such a diverse approach to reach one mission, "Improving the lives of children with limb loss..."
